Job Summary:

The Inside Account Executive is a critical member of the Western Bancorp (WBC) organization responsible for the development of Western Bancorp market share in a designated geographic territory. The primary objective of this position is to achieve both the sales goals and service levels of the organization by developing and maintaining strong partnerships with the mortgage broker community in the assigned territory. The Inside Account Executive is considered to be the most critical representative of WBC in the marketplace reflecting both our brand promise of excellent product offerings and world class service. The Inside Account Executive will consistently strive to achieve all volume goals and service standards of performance as defined by WBC.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Source accounts in the Inside Account Executive’s authorized territory for the company to enter into a lending relationship
  • Scrub new leads against various applications
  • Assist brokers in completing broker packets and loan process
  • Contact, solicit and present various loan programs available
  • Obtain applications and due diligence documents in accordance with the guidelines and instructions provided by Western Bancorp
  • Provide training, updates and information regarding loan programs, loan guidelines, business practices and technologies including our proprietary platform LMSXpress
  • Regularly connect with approved accounts and accounts in prospect
  • Prepare and submit reports in conjunction with the Inside Account Executive’s activities including, but not limited to, activity reports, presentation materials, company training, etc.
  • Learn WBC guidelines as well, if not better than the underwriters
  • Act as the first-responder and troubleshooter to assist accounts with loan-level problems
  • Resolve problems and questions with underwriting, and secondary marketing departments
  • Responsible for pipeline management and are required to update LMSXpress call log daily.


Job Requirements

  • Wholesale/Third Party Origination experience preferred
  • Mortgage Loan Processor experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly connect with people in an outgoing, friendly manner
  • Proven persuasive, selling & communication skills
  • Proven success in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate careful decision making skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proven ability to penetrate customer base to further expand each account’s activity
  • One year minimum of mortgage related experience
  • Well-versed in cold calling techniques
  • Strong interpersonal skills with extreme passion for client service
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office, Outlook and video conferencing software
  • Organized, disciplined and accountable for results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
